Install Wolfy
on Android.

Download the Android app on your phone or tablet, then look for the Wolfy logo. Keep Chrome installed and stay connected to the internet while learning.

1. Download the Android app

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data and open Chrome.
  2. Tap Download Android APK above. The installer is about 3 MB and comes directly from Wolfy’s tutor website.
  3. Wait for the download to finish, then tap Open in Chrome’s download notification. You can also find wise-wolf-android.apk in your device’s Downloads folder.

The app requires Android 5.0 or later, a compatible up-to-date Chrome browser, and an internet connection. Availability on older devices depends on browser support.

2. Allow this install and tap Install

  1. If Android asks to allow installation from your browser or Files app, tap Settings and enable Allow from this source for the app opening the download. Menu names vary by device.
  2. Return to the installer and tap Install. When it finishes, tap Open.
  3. Look for the Wolfy logo shown above in your app list. The installed app is currently named Wise Wolf or Wise Wolf Math Tutor. You can place its icon on your Home Screen.
  4. After installation, you can turn off Allow from this source again in Settings.

Google’s app installation guide explains the source permission. If your device blocks installation, you can use Wolfy in Chrome and contact support.

3. Sign in and start learning

  • Sign in or start a trial. Returning parents can sign in to their account. New families can create a parent account with the free 7-day trial.
  • Select a student. Parents can add or choose a learner in the parent dashboard. A student with an existing Student ID and PIN can use student sign-in from the tutor home page.
  • Hear Wolfy. Tap a lesson or read-aloud control, turn up media volume, and check whether audio is going to Bluetooth headphones.
  • Use the whiteboard. Write with a finger or a compatible stylus, or type an answer. Review recognized writing before checking.
  • Stay connected. Wolfy needs internet access for tutoring, account access, and spoken responses.

Where is my download?

In Chrome, open the three-dot menu and choose Downloads, or open your device’s Files app and its Downloads folder. Tap the Wolfy installer to continue.

Android will not install the app.

Check that the download finished, you have free storage, and the browser or Files app opening the installer has permission to install it. A managed device may restrict app installation. Keep Android’s security checks enabled; if the install is blocked, use Wolfy in Chrome and contact support.

How do I update the Android app?

Download the current installer from this page and open it again. Android can install an update over an existing app signed with the same Wolfy key. If an update fails, contact support before uninstalling. Your account’s saved learning progress is available when you sign back in.

The app looks old or a lesson does not load.

Check your connection, close the Wolfy window, and reopen it. Try opening the tutor in Chrome and refreshing. Keep the same account when you sign back in to access saved progress.
