Set up Wolfy on
iPad & iPhone.
A Safari visit and a Home Screen icon are all you need to get started. Keep your device connected to the internet while learning.
1. Open Wolfy in Safari
- Connect your iPad or iPhone to Wi-Fi or mobile data, then open Safari.
- Visit guests.wolfytutor.com. If you opened this guide inside another app, open the tutor link in Safari.
- New families can choose Start a free 7-day trial to create a parent account. Returning parents can sign in.
2. Add Wolfy to your Home Screen
- While viewing guests.wolfytutor.com in Safari, tap Share (the square with an upward arrow). On some iPhones, open the page menu first, then choose Share.
- Find Add to Home Screen. You may need to scroll the Share menu or tap More / View More on iPad.
- If Open as Web App appears, turn it on. Keep or enter the name Wolfy Tutor, then tap Add.
- Return to your Home Screen and tap the Wolfy logo shown above. Its default name may be Wise Wolf. Sign in there if prompted; the new app window may have a separate sign-in from Safari.
Apple’s guides: iPhone web app setup and iPad web app setup.
3. Get ready to learn
- Choose your learner. A parent can add or select a student from the parent dashboard. Students who already have a Student ID and PIN can use the student sign-in option on the tutor home page.
- Turn up the sound. Tap a lesson or read-aloud control to start Wolfy’s voice. Safari may wait for your first tap before playing audio. Check your volume and connected headphones if you cannot hear it.
- Write or type. Use a finger on the whiteboard, or an Apple Pencil on a compatible iPad. You can also type an answer. Review any recognized writing before checking your answer.
- Make room. Try landscape orientation if you want a wider writing space.
Need a hand?
I cannot find Add to Home Screen.
Open the tutor directly in Safari, then open Share and scroll through the actions. On iPhone, use Edit Actions to add the Home Screen action if it is missing. Menu labels vary by iOS/iPadOS version.
The icon opens the front page or demo.
Open guests.wolfytutor.com in Safari and add the icon from that page. Adding wolfytutor.com saves the marketing page instead of the full tutor.
Wolfy is silent or a page seems out of date.
Tap read aloud, check volume and headphone routing, and confirm your internet connection. Close the Wolfy app window and reopen it after an update. You can also open the tutor in Safari and refresh the page.
I am using a private home Wi-Fi address.
Use the secure address provided by the person running your home tutor. A private LAN address may need that owner’s certificate setup. The public guests.wolfytutor.com address uses normal HTTPS and does not need a family certificate.
